I would never spend anything close to $100 for a swimbait. EVER!

Abu Vendetta. Check em out. I'm very pleased with mine!

There is a company in Long Beach that sells the most beautiful rod I've ever seen and it's made in the USA.
COUSINS.

Keep an eye on the classified sections of SwimbaitUnderground(dot)com and SwimbaitNation(dot)com for deals on rods.  There are usually a few Dobyns on there, a couple Okuma, and a few LDC.

Darius, see if you can find a Quantum PT Tour swimbait rod.  That is what I use to throw my swimbaits.  Not the best rod or anything...they were around $150 before, but I think you can find them for around $50 nowadays since they're discontinued.
