Lowrance Elite-4 HDI Fish Finder

I might have purchased last one today

I have the elite 4 hdi but unfortunately I have not used it yet do to not having a battery to hook it to.

Found a spot on the Cuda for the Lowrance HDI transducer.  Saw a post showing a skid bracket and went ahead and fabricated one.  Worried about banging it so I used a rubber hose to give it the ability to move a little if hit.  Hope to test it out this weekend.

If you follow the directions the HDI fits the 2014 hobie just fine. I did the mtg and wiring just seem not to be able to find the screen in the garage it is a mess.

Hey guys, it appears my FF decided to take a dump before GS8. I am currently looking at the Elite 4 HDI. This question goes out to the people that are using this unit. How do you like it? I'm about ready to pull the trigger on a new FF and this has been the one that I have been going back and forth with. The other being the next size up, Elite 5. I don't need the bigger screen.
The price point on the elite 4 is just right. I'm just curious about its performance. Any feed back would be great!
I can't wait for this weekend!

I have a 4HDI and I really like it. It's funny I thought I wouldn't like it as much as my bigger screen HDI but it seems I'm using it a lot.  I've got it on a yak attack rail with a ram ball, arm and Ram/Lowance mount. I actually received it to do a review but it seems this review is not ending anytime soon. 

I'll have it as GS if you want to check it out.

Thanks for the reply!  I'm going to order it tomorrow and hope that it gets here by Thursday! I have been wanting this thing for a while but couldn't justify the upgrade. But since my current FF lamed out...it just makes sense.

It will perform just as good as the 5", just with a slightly smaller screen

I just ordered the Elite-4 HDI last night. Wife talked me into spending a bit less so she can go finish her art degree. I still managed to spend a grand between a FF, a gopro, mounting hardware and some other accessories...
