I lost both of my kayaks and most of my kayaking and fishing gear in a house fire so I'm looking for a revo to replace one of them. I'm in the Sacramento area, but I'll travel for the right deal.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I sucks, but it will all work out in the end.  I haven't been on a kayak since early November so I'm dying to get back out.  I also lost my power boat and almost everything in my house so the kayaks are no big deal.  I've been too busy to do anything about it until now, but with GS8 next month, I need to get one soon.

Holycrap Gabe! That is crazy. But glad to see you & the family are OK and also have a positive outlook on it. Will keep an eye out for deals. But you ever been on a Revo? I'm only 6' 200lbs and it feels too small for me (it's tippy and doesn't handle rough seas very well).

Thanks for all the kind words.  It may be a tragedy in some ways, but I can't dwell on that.  I prefer to see the silver linings.  It was like a giant garage sale with a guaranteed buyer and someone is paying to remodel my house.  The insurance is paying for most things.  I went over my $3,000 policy sub limit for watercraft items though.  You may want to check your policy sub limits.  I wasn't aware of that one.  I had more like 10k. No big deal though.  There were plenty of items they paid me for that I have no intention of replacing so it will ask come out in the wash.

I wish I'd had more patience and read your replies before going to adventure sports.  They made me a deal I couldn't pass and I bought one this  afternoon.  That one on Craig's list is a nice boat, but I bought mine at s similar price to what she wants and I got my color and they threw in the rigging at a sweet price.

Pat,  I hear you about the stability.  I did try one briefly, but not in rough water.  He said he would take it back if it didn't work out so I'll give it a shot and how I like it.  I need to go with a hobbie because of increasingly sore shoulders every time I do a long paddle.  I couldn't see going with the outback so I decided to give the revo a shot.

Thanks again for all the replies.
