I plan on renting, I've been offered a job at Sea Ranch lodge, Gualala is very friendly. I've looked a couple of places, nothing has been right. I've made 3 trip there this week and I'm going again on Sunday to watch the Super Bowl, I'm sure this will give me a great feel for the area. I live in Sebastopol right now so moving to the Sea Ranch area is going to be a life style change

Hmm, I dunno, west county and Gualala may be fairly similar in a lot of ways . . . 

West County, Sebastopol is close to everything, Gualala is 90 minutes away from anything

Yeah, from that perspective, you are right. Sonoma County (various locales) was my home for 35 years, I prefer the small-townishness of Mendo now, maybe it's 'cause I'm old.
