Lockeford Meat

I was asked by a few people where I got the sausage I brought to Crabfest.  I mentioned it was from Lockeford Meat and Sausage, a person over heard me and then informed me that they had closed up shop.  I just wanted to let those who wanted to know that Lockeford Meat and Sausage has not closed and nor are they planning on closing.  If you want some awesome sausage head to Lockeford Meat, they have about 20+ different flavors, the ones I brought were Laui or Hawaiian, they call them by both names.

Jeez, I am glad that you cleared this up.  Just the thought of no smoked Dakota brands, was giving me the shakes!

Should have read brauts!  Apple brauts, jalapeño brauts, so many to choose from,  Don't forget to buy some of the jerky!

Try the breakfast sausage called okies, the best in the west I know of.

My apologies to everyone.  I thought Lockeford Meat Co. was at the corner of Elliott and Hiway 88.  That building is for sale, NOT Lockeford Meat, which is 1 block east on Hiway 88.  So sorry that I put that out there.  My Bad..........

And no there isn't a website to see what they have. It is an old school meat market.

The building for sale was the old country kitchen. It is right across the street from Lockeford meat.  I assume it closed due to a cockroach infestation...

Can't beat that meat 

The other place I go for meat and not sausage is Swingles in Jackson.  The address is 12640 Kennedy Flat Road.  Right at the corner of 49 and 88, just look for the big cow on top of the building.  They are another great butcher with a ton of other meats including stuffed pork chops.
