Hello everyone!

I live on my 31' Sailboat right near the end of the breakwater in Monterey. Have been fishing the kelp beds for a little bit but thought it was time to come here and soak up all your wisdom and hopefully start putting more fish in the freezer!

Whoa that's pretty cool. I'll have to paddle over and say Hi next time I'm out there!
Unfortunately rockfish season is closed Jan 1 through May 15, but we can still target sanddabs, sole, halibut, perch, etc.

Yeah we're all excited about sand dabs and halibut now. I'm on Mooring 162. Stop by for a beer or a glass of wine sometime!

Rockfish season is not closed for us! Go talk to Glen at Glens aquairius and get yourself A free dive suit! Best time of the year to get rockfish is now when all the hooligan kayakers cant fish for them... No pressure.. :smt044
