Eric, you don't need no stinking sponsors. Here you are asking all your friends to things for them. Tell them to go like themselves. You are better than that.

Thank you, Pat!   :smt008

I'm not down on other kayaks!  I enjoyed demo'ing a P13 and catching a king from it out of Humboldt Bay, but I like my X better.  I enjoyed running a Wildy for a long session at Tahoe and catching a mack from it, but I like my X better.  I enjoyed a little time demo'ing Hobies, Cobras and a Jackson and would like to check out an RTM and for sure a Santa Cruz, but I have a feeling I'm still gonna like my X better.  Domenic and I will often be on the water - either snotty or smooth - and we'll laugh with each other about how bewildering it is to wonder why more people don't paddle X-Factors!  They make sweet water feel like you're at a playground in leisure, and they make rough water feel like you're at a party.  I'm out to get more people a taste of that.

...and as for a reputation for being a slow boat, I paddled my X's 300 miles each of the past two summers - 10 to 15 miles at a time.  I average 2 miles per hour while trolling for hours, and I'm not huge.  It's not a hard boat to paddle - it's a pleasure.

I hope to paddle side by side on X-Factors with any and all of you at some point.   :smt001

  :smt044 :smt044 :smt044. Sure thing Eric. Done.
Supporting a sponsor with great products that's willing to give back to our NCKA brothers is easy, even if it takes a just a little bit of effort  :smt003.

Thanks, Man - learning as I go and hoping to make agreements instead of being along for a ride.  I totally appreciate your support from last year and it's clear that you are one of the most supportive member/pro-staff guys in the club.  WTG.   :smt001

And thanks for posting the link too.

Well Eric, I'm going on your recommendation here. Just placed our first order of X-factors, Stealth's and Mini X's. Should be here in two weeks. I had been looking at all the brands for that mid price point fishing kayak, and trying my best to stay away from the big brands. Malibu seems to be small enough to still care about customer service, and everyone I know who has one of their boats, just raves about it. I let them know that your enthusiasm, and extensive testing was a big reason why I brought them in. Samantha seemed pleased to hear that.

I'm sorry Eric.  I didn't mean to bag on you personally. I love you bro.  And I do in-fact like malibu kayaks. I just don't do facebook or the corporate ass-kissing thing.

Don't even worry about it, Jack.  You could say anything to me (and you do, and I appreciate it) and I would always listen and check myself.  Thank you for being a friend.   :smt001

I do think it's somewhat cheesy to ask for a "like", but I went there for something I believe in.  I can live with that.

I just play a stupid game on facebook, but managed to do it.

I agree about the slow x factor myth.  Ken paddles an x factor and I have never waited for him.  In fact its kind of the reverse.
