There is no way to match the serial number since the motherboard has been replaced. Good luck editing serial number in the BIOS.

On the other hand, you should be able to installing Windows 7 with volume license even with different serial number, or no serial number in your case. After all, computers in the work place are replaced all the time.

I didnt figure entering the info in BIOS was going to work w/o the DMI tool, but I was able to add some info in the security tab and also update the ver of BIOS.

In the end I took your's and another's advice to just try the install and see if it will go and it did, installed, thanks for all the assistance,  Rob  :smt006
