Allen,
I never had the pleasure of meeting or fishing with Joel, but from everything I've read on this site it sounds like he was a kind, caring, one-of-a-kind fishing machine and a fighter 'til the end.

My thoughts will be with Joel, his family, and all his friends at the Memorial this Sunday.

Cheers,

-Alex

Man I wish I had the time.  You go out there and get some, I hope Mooch guides you to two fat ones in his honor, cause I think that is what he want us to do!

Berkeley charter boat fleet fished for salmon again this morning along the Marin coastline. 12 anglers, 12 limits (big fish 27 lbs). Limits two days in a row.

I'm in. Just got the kitchen pass from the chief. I should be there around 6:00am, at the end of the road in Bolinas...easy launch into Bolinas Bay. I am stopping in Berkeley for herring and anchovies. What channel will you be on if we do not cross paths? Shove off at sun up around 6:45?  I will be ready, its show time,  Ron

What's up Ron? That's the plan. End of the road, rigging up then launching at grey light.

I'll be on CH. 69 for the most part, but I also scan around to listen in on the other goings on....

another check on the weather. On Saturday-today, it should blow to 25k, may affect tomorrows early launch. Higher tide at 6:45am on Sunday, tide will be coming back up at around 2:00pm,...and the wind should be dying off. One more check later on tonight. Should be good to better! Ron

I stunk it up! One 14 inch rainbow trout and two small rockfish. Left around 12:30 when Alex and Simon were rockfishing. Beautiful day, lots of boats, no nets flying anywhere. Maybe an ab dive trip soon, Ron
