Hi all, my name is william and I'm new to the board but have a few years kayak fishing down south.  I recently saw a few reports from the cambria slam down 2 and I was very impressed by the professionalism of the event, the natural beauty of the area and the excellent fishery. I would love to make a trip up the coast and experience this first hand.  I just thought I would check in and pay my respects to the locals,  maybe meet some cool people to fish with and possibly get a few pointers here and there.

That's more in the CCKF  area.     Three hours south of Monterey.        Great area to fish, you won't have any problem finding someone to fish with while you're there.
Sometimes the fish isn't the only prize.

There always seems to be confusion about where the "Cen Coast" is located...but i say it's from Monterey/Salinas down to like Pismo beach. Then Socal starts in Santa Maria lol...
