So, i spent over a thousand dollars getting set up for my first deer season this year. Went out 4 times, hike countless miles n saw nothing to shot.
Last night as I was driving home to marina from work in Santa Cruz after a 10hr Shift, God decided to put one right in front of my car on the fast line on high 1 right by park ave. I slam on my break, hit it. Shit went flying hundred 50 feet- skipping through the freeway. Boom Instant death.
I have never total my car before, shit was Scary.
It's crazy looking at the damage now because the bumper looks like it's never been touch but the hood is smashed into the radiator. Airbag didn't get deploy which I thought was kind of crazy too.
I'm ok, Had to wake up my girlfriend at midnight to pick me up- from Marina to Santa Cruz which was Scarier than the accident itself. Haha.
Chp came n I ask him if i can tag it, but nope he wouldn't let me run across the freeway to get my first kill.

The CHP put on the report as not my fault. Wel see what they say today. Just spent 700$ on new tires too, not even a week ago.

In Colorado you get to keep it, or the police will donate it to the local homeless shelter.  At least that is how it use to be there.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

Deer that have been hit by vehicles get a massive bruising that ruins the meat. It's called bloodshot meat out here. Very few are salvagable even when fresh.
So I'm packing my bags for the Misty Mountains, where the spirits go...........
