Kayak Wars 2013 update

So our brother Rob/Matanaska is going to Australia soon to fish in the Hobie World Championship event but in addition to that some of you may not know that he also just cracked the Top 20 All Time Kayak Wars Career Point Leaders list AND ALSO IS CURRENTLY #19 IN THE TOP 20 KAYAK MAN GOLD POINTS 2013 STANDINGS. Not to mention keeping Team NCKA on top in the Pacific West Overall & Saltwater.

To get on the Career Point Leader list requires catching many many fish with an emphasis on larger 'trophy size' fish for more points. Many of the kayak anglers on this list have been participating in Kayak Wars for at least one year longer than Rob. So for Rob to get on this list in less than two years of competing is very impressive. The other 'Gold Points' list is also hard to get & stay on especially this late into the year. This list helps decide which competitors will have the best chances of winning prizes at the end of the competition. I really enjoyed playing & winning Kayak Wars, Pacific West Overall & Grand Prize, last year & I'm very happy to watch Rob play, KICK ASS, & hopefully win this year. Thanks Jim.  Its been fun and hopefully I can keep up the pace and maybe finish with most points overall, but there are 3 or 4 others I will need to catch.  I finally found arrangements for my dogs so I can go home to Texas next week for a week. Then I will be seeing some of yall at Ocean Cove Fall Classic.  Has anyone been fishing salmon anywhere along the Sonoma coast lately.   See yall soon.

Maybe I can score some Gulf Coast points and go catch some red drum and speckled trout or I can catch bass, catfish, and crappie at my parents house which is on a small lake.
