I am going to Yakhopper's tiki event in October and am camping overnight with Big J. I want to practice paddling some more before I try going out in the Delta. Otherwise, we will just watch or fish from shore. Can't wait!

my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

Good idea getting your paddling skills mastered before you get to deep, so to speak. I'm sure you'll get lots of practice in. And then probably win the tournament too. Good luck and welcome aboard, Little E.

Little E,
I haven't even met you yet and I am already impressed by your great attitude. I am hopeful that my daughter will get involved in our sport. You are blazing a trail for other girls.
See you on the water, Amos

This will be my sons 1st tourney also. Last year it was my first tourney. No need to stay on shore just stay with the group. I would take my 7yr old if I had a yak for him. This event would be safe for a first time paddler if they stay with the group.
Hope to meet you there. Almost sounds like we're ready for a youth division.

Little E is in the HOUSE!!!!! Hopefully Laura and I make it to this event. You have a great teacher and will learn a lot if you listen and take her advice.
