I want to let everyone know, both Jed and the owner of ASCK have posted/PM’d me. They have both offered to still sell me a kayak  :smt002 though without the gamesmanship on the prices (which I appreciate.) I still haven’t made the decision on whether I will buy another kayak (or where) yet, but based on the responses they posted (again, which I appreciate) I would go back to Oakley in a heartbeat, and continue to recommend others to go there, it was a fun experience demo’ing the kayak, and I was treated well, and that goes a LONG way with me.

I am just about done complaining (just about) and I did receive a pair of “sorry you had a bad time” responses (again, appreciate it, see above) the next part would have been recognition that there is a systemic problem with how some of the senior staff at the El Camino store treat customer and a clear “we’re handling it.” I understand that they are running a successful business, they haven’t needed my input to make the business successful up till now, and maybe allowing that approach to customers is just what works for them at the El Camino store, and I personally respond better when folks are more laid-back (like they were in Oakley?) I don’t feel that the acknowledgement that there is (what I perceive) as a problem, (not like they own me anything) clearly came through with the responses I received (in regards to the El Camino staff,) so myself and (judging from comments here) a few others in the community still probably will choose to frequent other establishments.

Honestly, after ALL the whining I did here, I doubt they will miss me, like I said they are very successful, and I am wandering deep into pain-in-the-ass territory now <LOL>

I appreciate the fact that they were available to this community to respond (very politely) to a negative experience I had, and I hope that this post was at least informative to all parties.

OK, I’m done, I’m out, no hard feelings remain, thank you all for listening! :smt003
Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.

You have no hard feelings here boss. Everybody has a right to speak there mind. As far as the used Hobie Revo 13 goes. I dont believe your friend was  misinformed. Our demo Hobies  also get used as our rental Hobies. So there not perfect but we're not allowed to advertise a demoed Hobie for less then retail.Only as used Hobies can they be sold for less then retail.
