I support the bag fee, although I think they need to charge for produce bags as well, not just the bag at the checkout. Why do people need to pull a brand new plastic bag off the role for one apple, or a couple of oranges? It's lazy, and such a waste, as a lot of it ends up in the middle of the ocean.

I must say, I'm one of those people who totally gets the reasoning behind reusable bags...but my actions fall short, and I end up not getting my act together.

So the new bag rules are giving me a nudge, because I feel like a loser when I have to pay for a bag. So now I'm acquiring a supply of reusable bags, and they are finding a home in my vehicles. It's not that hard. Sometimes we just need a a little push. Or I do.

Always willing to join others in the Monterey/Santa Cruz/Half Moon Bay area for a bit of fishing...feel free to contact me.
