Cats and lures dont mix,a year ago it cost my son $1800 because he left one of his fishing rids with a lure on it in a place his cat could get to,all is well now after surgery.

i try not to put tackle in my house but i always seem to forget that.

I used to cast one off our 2nd story balcony for the neighbors cat to chase when I lived in Stockton.  HOURS for fun.  After about a week, the cat would show up like clockwork at 6pm.

I narrowly avoided a big vet bill when my cat got tangled in the mono on one of my rigs. I had set it down in the corner and three seconds later the poor guy was tangled up and struggling. I got to him before he could make the situation really bad, lesson learned... Your pic is just funny though, no hooks, no lines, no worries!

Lures and dogs don't mix either.  My friend left a crankbait on the floor and his curious dog got hooked in the nose....all bad.  I never leave anything with hooks around where my dog can get to.

I have swimbaits laying on a tacklebox in my room lately and my dog goes inside to check them out everyday.  Hasn't tried to eat it though...yet.   

As bad as my dogs can be sometimes, they seem to know not to mess with fishing tackle. 

When I was a kid my dad came home to hear a ruckus coming from the garage.  Our cat had hooked itself thru the cheek on a rockfish fly that he had left on his rod which was hanging from the wall up high, but somehow she got to it.  The poor cat was swinging from the hook trying to get purchase for god knows how long.  The hole healed up within days, though, and she lived to be 21.
