Fantastic review. Looks like a sweet new yak with limitless rigging options.

At the top of this thread right now, it says "Sin Coast and 20 Guests are viewing this topic" LOL, so I think the Predator must be getting some traction online!

Excellent review, I was very impressed with this kayak checking it out all weekend. I see a tandem version of this coming in the future( I hope).

I like the idea of the smaller rod pod, transducer compatible....but hows the actual weight of it? (with the FF, battery and tackle)

You're welcome!

Mooch, This kayak is hefty, but manageable - depending on how you haul.  The weight is 72lbs; however, in a video I watched the Old Town representative said thats the weight of the kayak before considering the seat and hatches so actual weight is 80lbs.  The width also makes it a bit cumbersome to grab the handles and pull up off the ground.  That said, I was able to get it up on the truck by myself this weekend without any problems.  We have the Thule XSporter rack on the truck and haul the kayaks at an angle (rear lower than front).  So I scootch the front of the kayak up on the rear rack, go to the back - lift - and slide into position.  Then I hop on the truck and flip it over.
