5/18-19 Who's not going to GS7??????

I signed up and paid my registration fee.  2 days later I got told I had to fly out to New Orleans for business that same weekend  .  At least a buddy is picking up my T Shirt for me.

That sucks Mel!  Have fun in New Orleans.

Went and saw the new Star Trek movie this evening.  I'd have to say, as a 'from-the-first-show-to-now' fan, this is the BEST Star Trek movie yet.  Fans of the original TV show and the movies will have a blast with all the tie-ins with both the series and the movies.  Not hard to follow if you know the star trek history. 

I won't give anything away, but WoW!!  I really enjoyed that movie.  I didn't pay extra for 3D or IMAX and I don't think either would add much to the viewer.  $7.50 at El Dorado Hills Cinema.  They have 22 showings of this one movie alone per day, including the 3D and IMAX versions, so it wasn't crowded or lines.

That sounds better than me staying and chefing it up on the BBQ, making coconut rice and breaking out Indiana Jones and the temple of doom. Can't wait to see sat trek though. Thanks for the info.

I know how you feel - I wish I was going up north as well! I just couldn't make the long drive up there without taking days off from work, and I need to save-up my PTO right now. I hate missing out on all of the fun!

Like the others said, it will likely be pretty dead here on the forum over the weekend...until the reports come in, haha.

I would love to go fishing with you, but I will have to play it by ear...I was gone all last weekend and need to catch-up with chores. I can find out if my son is interested in tagging along if you like.
