Headed to Fresno tomorrow for my wifes work.  I drop her off and away I go yakkin for the day.  Iv'e always done millerton but looking to change things up. I have heard i can go to lost lake and then drop into the SJ river from there.  Has anyone done this or does someone have a better alternative ?

Hi Jerry,
Welcome to my hood ;0)
Millerton has been fair, and the upper S.J. can be a blast, but the S.J. flow was increased this week to around 1150 fps. I would suggest another area. These high flows can make for unsafe conditions. If bass is your desire, think about Hensly or Eastman resavours just north of Fresno. If trout is your passion, try Shave or Bass lakes.
Good luck either way, wish I could join you but duty calls at the store.

Jerry I think you'd enjoy Shaver if you haven't been there yet! Good luck wherever you go!
