Nice results!  Can't argue with the sinkers.   :smt003

Kokayak, you have excellent taste in gear as well.  I love those reels for trout/koke trolling!

+1.  I also have a pair and love them!  What are yours paired with Kokayak?  Didn't recognize the rods.

Yeah the sliding sinkers work awesome and you can pull a few ounces way easier than pulling a 40 oz. downrigger ball. The one major drawback is you have to let line out slow to avoid tangles. That's much easier to do with a pedal boat than a paddle boat.

The rods are Shimano Talora Kokanee rods. In my opinion they are the ultimate trout/koke trolling set up. I set the rods in free spool with the clicker engaged and listen for it to detect strikes.

Here's a little video of the day. The birds certainly put on a show  :smt003 No idea why I said Feisty so many times. I sound like a complete idiot. Never had so many LDR's either. Anyways it was a great morning much better than my afternoon dentist appointment and the little lady jabbing the hell out of my gums!

And you could hear me screaming a mile away as I was headed out for the door....

Sweet video of your hookups Kokayak!  I'd say one tip for the LDR's is to take a couple of quick strokes with your paddle before going for the rod.  But who am I to say?  After two years of fishing for kokes I only had one to show for it  :smt005

Yeah I know better but in the moment I tend to lose it. Those kokes had extremely soft mouths when I cleaned them. I might add a snubber and see if that helps in the early season. The rods are pretty limber as you can tell but maybe I need a little more buffer.

Is that a good area to target?  Was reading on USA fishing that the damn area was producing.

The traditional spots are the dam, spillway and between the bridges. This time of year they seem to be spread all over but later in the season concentrating on the deeper water downstream.

Very glad the gate is finally open!
