Huell Howser

The show I thought really amazed him. Was on the Pismo clam and the clam chowder in Pismo beach. The clams in the Chowder came from New York. I haven't seen the show in years my wife didn't like it. I guess it was to educational for her. Sad thing was he couldn't join the Native Sons Of The Golden West, He wasn't born here in California.  Huell

I remember that episode, all the town officials were blaming the otters for no clams rather than overharvest. from all those pictures they showed from 1800s when the used horses and rakes to comb the beach for clams, no wonder they are rare today
