Allen Leepin's steelhead was valued at 232.75. The point value for steelhead has been lowered but at that time thats what the score was. So its still the most points for one fish in AOTY history. Those older point values should be posted right. Might not be possible though.
True, but it's the same deal as Matanaska's halibut right? At the time it was entered, it was worth 233.75. Since then, we've changed the point-value for that type of fish (and added a Pacbutt category). I'm not arguing for or against--just saying that both fish are in the same "boat" harhar.

Totally different subject...but...adding pacbutts and wsb showed a lot of foresight. Before they were added to AOTY, there hadn't been very many caught by NCKA. Maybe we should add calico bass, sheepshead, or yellowtail to the list next? Because I'd love to catch a Cen Coast YT!  :smt044

Not really Pat. Only ca halibut were on the list at that time. Allen was awarded those points as AOTY contest rules were for that fish at the time. The scores for past fish should indicate the true score of the fish at the time it was caught and used for points during that year. Those points contributed to our total score. All halibut were listed under Ca halibut. Not the same. If you look at the leaderboard for 2009 you will see that the score for Allens steelhead is still at 232.75. But if you click on the steelhead icon at the top of the AOTY home page it gives you the adjusted score of 6 pts per inch. Wrong.

?? I'm not quite sure what you're saying...Rob's fish was worth 233.75pts at the time of posting.  There was only a halibut category back then, nothing specific about CA or pacific halibut.  So it should have counted as a halibut.

O2B's steelhead was considered a trout at 7pts per inch, so it was 232.75 points.  At the time, there was no steelhead category, so it counted as a trout.

Dan's WSB is worth 232 pts.  So those are 1, 2 and 3 in the points in AOTY all time.
