I have been gettin the itch to try for some winter time flatties. Just wondering if anyone has gone out recently and how you did...i will even take some stories from the past, just need something to talk myself into dealing with the cold...

There's been schools of sardines near Wharf 2 the last week or so. Along with some macs too. I'd try to sabiki up a few then drift then in 40-80fow north of the wharf. Winter time is tough for ocean butts. But I recall some good winter bites inside SF Bay, like in 09. So ya never know. It's probably worth a try...just remember that they'll likely be deeper than normal and more sluggish than normal, so livebait would be key.
