diving monterey co 12/23

Just wondering if anyone wants to dive on Sunday. I'll be polespearing around. First time with freedive fins and a nice wetsuit so I just want to get wet.

Monday is also an option too if anyone wants to do that instead. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Forecast says 12-15ft swells and rain, unfortunately.

Yeah sunday looks like a no go. Monday looks doable to me. Probably just hitting otter cove theb, esp if solo.

Christmas Day looks really good but can't pull that one off.

yeah saw that forecast, but no way it's happening for me either. And of course it picks back up on Wed...

Did you out today?

Just hit breakwater really quick for some checkout dives with my drysuit (scuba). Had some hillarious times before realizing I was way underweighted. Vis there looked pretty good, ~20'. Surge was pretty no existent in the kelp there. Heard from a guy that dove a little closer to the aquarium, said there were a ton of sea nettles out there. All in all...probably shoulda just hit Otter cove instead but oh well.

I'm surprised about the 20 ft vis with all the runoff. Those sea nettles are no joke. Glad you got out there and Merry Xmas.
