You can get just as drunk on water
As you can get on dry land.

I would agree that the super Nova angler is a really nice suit for the money. The suit is bone try except for the neck gasket. This means if you have a long swim you will be getting a cup or two of water down your neck. I feel that the comfort of the neo neck is worth the leaks if I do swim. I have both neo and latex neck gaskets for different uses and I find I use the neo neck 95% of the time. Also depending on what you are looking to spend I wouldn't write off the Kokatat gor tex bibs and dry top. They are made to roll together and create a dry seal. This allows you to have a dry suit when you want it, but the veraitility to take the jacket off if it gets hot. Feel free to PM if you have more questions. I do have a couple of New Kokatat angler suits in stock for 15% off. 2012 models. Last thing if you buy a suit buy a Kokatat a Kokatat because they have a full lifetime warranty and they are right here in Cali.

Is this true for all Kokatat drysuits, or just their Gore-Tex line?

Great question. I called to clarify with Jordan from Kokatat. Half way through this year is when they started the full lifetime warranty on any t-3 Kokatat garment. Jordan also said that they honor this warranty for any T-3 product they have ever made despite what the tag says. So Fishingaddict, your suit is grandfathered in to the new warranty. If you ever get leaks, send it back and Kokatat will water test your suit and patch any holes for free. (they may charge shipping)

Thanks to Dan @ Headwaters, I wear a Kokatat SuperNova Angler T3 semi-drysuit and it's awesome! For me, the whole 'dry vs semi-dry' distinction is like parsing words. While the neoprene neck gasket might not be 100% waterproof, it's pretty damned water resistant. I took a quick dip (stuck my whole head underwater) and hardly got a tbl spoon of water inside. So for me, I'd much rather have the neoprene neck gasket than the latex neck gasket. Those latex gaskets on my wrists are very constrictive and I couldn't imagine having one around my neck--and still being comfortable.

Is your neck seal fabric inside and Smooth out? If so, you roll the smooth side in about two inches and you will stay dry. The latex wrist seals should be able to be trimmed to make it much more comfortable. To trim, stick a bottle inside the seal and use a razor blade, try to cut as straight as possible in one continuous cut.
Works for scuba drysuits, should work for yours.
