The little grey cap came in a package of 2. Found it in the pull out drawers in the aisle that has all of the machine screws, bolts, nuts, washers, etc.

Was it the Elite 4 that you have killed 3 of already?  I did some product testing on an Elite 4 over the weekend.  I could see a possability of leakage.  I submerged mine quite a few times to test it.  Even towed it behind the kayak a bit.  Couldn't get the SD slot to leak.

Mine is the Mark 4, but they are pretty similar. I have it on the ram wedge mount on my revo and I guess it gets a lot of water coming over the front hitting it in the back. So far with these changes I am going on 2 months without issue!

If you can't find them let me know.  I have plenty.

I picked up a second Lowrance Elite 4, and took it out for a spin at the OC Tourney last month but forgot to fill the secondary port with the DL Grease like I had on my first unit.  When I got home I noticed the corrosion in the secondary port, and a whole pin has disentigrated.  I'll likely never use that port, but it's toast now.  :smt009 Good thing I bought it at WM and got the extended warranty  :smt002  Btw, i'd still fill it with grease even if your going to cap it like Jim did or it may just corrode 'out of sight' with a cap on it.

Spent 30 minutes in home depot asked 3 employees and couldn't find the grey caps or anything else to fit. I'll check the auto part store tomorrow.
