Hello everyone. Moved from SoCal, past deckhand and hardcore partyboat fisherman 2-3 times a week, kayak fishing was sporadic in SoCal, moved here for work.  Tried the party boats up here and to be honest they are not too good. I was inspired seeing all the sitting birds on the water in Monterey bay a couple years ago meaning squid!!! Can you say seabass!! Couldn't get on a party boat. I noticed a couple kayak fisherman amongst some of the boats. Took me a year but finally started to figure out where the tackle shops were, the launches, places to and not to fish.  But got a kayak and geared up! I missed the seabass bite unfortunately this year, cuz of my sons swim lessons.  Launched out of lovers cove and caught some nice lings, vermillion, and starriest, coppers, gophers. I went 3 days in a row. Then tried san Carlos ramp and caught some nice blues for bait and caught a nice ling. The other day I went to monterey and metered around agin and caught 2  30+ inch lings on jigs and judt amazes me of how you norcal folks have great fishing along with the nice scenery. This is thanks to all of your information here cuz I don't really know anyone up here. Thanks to you all!  I am just amazed at he abundance of lingcod .  Funny thing I don't even eat fish. I am a  meat and potatoes person! You all are pretty cool and hope to see you out there sometime. Winters coming so I guess gotta change modes to trout, unless it warms up before dec31st!
