This is something my wife and I want to try as well. Thanks for all the tips on renting gear before buying. I would love to get together with some experienced drivers and learn.

Hello,

i think this a good place to put my first post.

i am interested in starting to spear fish, i love the water, and like to snorkel and fish, so why not spear some fish.

so i know that i can rent all the gear for snorkeling but i don't think that there are any places that rent spear guns because of insurance, so would i just buy some cheap used gun for my first time.

also i have no idea as to where to go etc, so some sort of newbie swim would be awesome.

also some pointers as to how to make sure i don't get ripped off if i buy a used gun.
