The collapsible nets Didn't feel right to me when I was in the market. I got the promesh 18" net, extendable handle makes it easier to stow, and the coated mesh doesn't get hooks buried in it. Don't know much about crab pots, but I loved there eclipse nets for lobsters. Bait cages were also a must.
