I used a paddle float stuffed in my neck hole  then blew it up.  it didnt really stretch i dont think.

I heard use a volley ball or basket ball......don't have one so.............but if I don't stretch it I feel choked...one of these days it will feel good...........

I stretched mine for a week, only a bit loose but way better than when I got it new which almost choked me on the 1st try.  I was told to trim but I elected not to just keep wearing it until, however, my concern is the suit may be worn out beforehand.  LOL

To trim or not to trim seems to be the great debate for the latex neck seals. I trimmed mine 4 rings and feel that it turned out great. For me, if it's not neoprene, stretching seems like a bad idea because it will weaken the integrity of the latex. Others seem to think cutting the seal increases the likelihood that it will tear due to an uneven cut. Whatever you do make sure you 303 it about every other trip and your head will slide in and out much easier preventing most of the tear issues and dry rot as well.

I bought some zipper lube too that works great at maintaining the ease of using the brass zipper on my suit.

I happen to have a model fiberglass Seagull, the fuse section thicker than my neck I just stuff the model into a thick wool sock and let through the neck, stretched it wider few times a day.   Spent some time to get it done hope worth the effort.

Does anyone have the t3 angler? It has a neoprene neck seal but i feel it chokes me out too and i need to tap out after 15 minutes. Also tried it on when i first got it gosh dang i was sweating like a pig at a roasting party. Mind you, im a big guy and i get warm looking at a sunny day. Is there any way to keep cool in these things? I also have the kokatat pants with socks and an nrs semi dry for those warmer days and on my first paddle out i was soaked from sweat. My shirt looked like i was in a wet t shirt contest. So any advice on staying cooler in these suits? It would be greatly appreciated.

One good way to relieve the heat is to come to SMC fishing with us, the fog, swell, and the wind will keep you cool :smt003

That sounds like the best resolution ive ever heard to a problem.  :smt003 i cant wait to fish out there. How hard is it to launch as ive never done a beach launch in that kind of surf. I used to fish mission bay in san diego and ocean side launching out of oceanside harbor. Thanks bro

SMC has W and NW wind during the summer and fall.  Calm day, we launch from Bean Hollow which is a real small cove facing west; not so calm day, we launch from Pigeon Point Lighthouse.  Pigeon Point site is a south facing cove just under the lighthouse on the South side and you launch into a smooth lake with miner waves.  However, only a short distance out, you will feel the wind and swell.  We normally launch from the Pigeon Point and heading north toward Bean Hollow for lins but plenty of rf along the way between 40-45 and lins are scattered at around 80 fow.   You will love the SMC once you get used to, just keep the open mind that landlord always around just we can't see and hope not to see one.

Vin, I have the T3 Angler and my neck is very comfortable.  The length is a bit long, but that works while on the water and since it's not really made for walking, I'm good with it.

A trick I used when skiing all day is to use a spray antiperspirant over my whole body to keep from sweating then freezing.  Not a deodorant.  Get a no-scent too and then layer with a good lightweight poly pro that wicks any moisture away from your skin.  There's even a fishnet version of poly to allow more air circulation over your skin.
