Don't feel bad. I tripped myself in the garage last Thursday.  I was holding  a tackle box with both hands so I couldn't brace myself.  My right knee and right thumb hit the floor ooouch.  The swelling got bad the next day.  Put ice on it and took advil.
About 90% now.  I am still taking the AI out tomorrow for some fun.

what does it mean when a kayak gets "oil can"
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

Mooch sent me a couple links when I asked I don't know how to post them. Its warping basically caves in like an old oil can .I don't have a good way to store my yak I had it on a blanket on the garage floor but I thought it might flatten the hull so I put it on foam blocks the heat and the weight warped the hull

On the plus side my ankle isn't broke a high ankle sprain (torn ligaments)

I think since it only canned in the rear deck if I bungee my crate down tight it my push it back into place

Put it out in the direct sunlight upside down and it should come out. Then always store your kayak on its side or on end if you have the height in your storage area. How hot was it over there?

I didnt get oil canned. But i also had some what of a crappy day.

I competed in the US Age Group Triathlon National Championships this morningin Burlington, VT.  Crashed my bike about two miles into the bike leg, In an aero tuck reached for my bottle and hit a speed bump.  ended upflying onto the sidewalk after hitting the curb.  scratched up my $2K carbon wheelset, road rash, and wrenched my neck.  Still finished with a decent run, but my chances of amking the US World Championship team were ruined. First time ever ate it in a race, sux.

Like im sure you are, im thankful it wasnt worse!  for example, some guy went into cardiac arrest in middle of the swim course in Lake Champlain.  CG jammed over to him, butcould not revive.  DOA.  Really sux
