Well I just found out today that my job transfer to San Luis Obispo came through.  I report February 1st.  My wife is beyond excited.  I am really looking forward to a change and a new adventure, I have missed the central coast.  Especially with the 111 degree temp outside right now!  A longer rock fishing season will be nice, and some lobster hooping trips down south!  It will be nice relocating to such a nice area.  I have some new ocean to learn!  Wish us luck, although we will be around for a while still  :smt002

Thanks, I am already a member of the Central Kayak site as well.  I can't wait to fish down there, it looks great.  I may invest in a shark shield though.

Good luck Matt, we'll have to pull a farewell fishing trip together.  My family had a beach house for decades in Cayoucus, just north of Morro Bay so I have fond memories of that stretch of coast and a strong desire to end up in that area eventually.

Big Sur = the "other" Lost Coast.
I think you'll fit in nicely Matt. Plenty of good fishin & hunting nearby.

Awesome. I used to fish the Cayucos area as a kid when my parents spent summers there. Frikkin beautiful strand beach, and excellent fishing. Caught my first MFB there, and my first salmon as well.
Best of luck on the move!
