Nice. NOAA is calling high winds on Tuesday, so I might not be able to get out very far. It's still a little early to say... They just may be wrong.

Is this hook up for Sun or Tues?
bNb & Ben, you guys still going? What time (& what time the gates open, any fees)?
The forecast seems nice on Sun but NW 3-5ft is okay there?
Heard that some jetty there too... everyone still trolling?

This one is Sunday. I have a separate hookup posted for Tuesday.  3-5 ft northwest swell shouldn't be toooo bad. It's a south facing beach, which blocks a lot of north energy. That said, I've launched there on a couple occasions when I probably should have opted for a surf instead...

I hope to join up with you guys for my first shot at salmon. I won't be there till 8.30 or so and will try to catch up. Have any idea if you will head north or south?

I was out there today and it was a washing machine all day!!! Never saw one net fly for about 25 boats. Marked bait seveal times, but never had a scratch.  :smt012 It was like being on a tread mill all day. One guy radioed he limited in front of the beach, but I never saw it happen. I was around the beach area all morning. About 19 boats came running in after the radio report, so they certainly weren't on fish to come running like that..... Saw one guy in a kayak go out for about 10 minutes and then headed in. I never talked to him. He was off the water before I got over there. They didn't open the gate till 7:30. Personally I'd look else where.....

Thanks for the report.

I went out with a handful of brothers Thursday. We had the same experiance as you. Lots of dry nets. I think the pros got got a few fish at the channel buoys.

They say the water is clearer than it's been in decades. Good for rockfish, not salmon.

It'll turn on next week.

After that we'll party at California city.
