Hey brethren,

I heard that they extended some restricted/protected zones in Carmel bay, does anyone have a link or map for reference?  I am not sure where is illegal to fish now.  I thought i had found a map that shows the areas that are off limits to fishermen, though i have see some from NCKA posting images from there >.<   I really just hope i am wrong about what areas are restricted.

I just don't want to be the guy to get a great catch that day but get busted for fishing in a restricted area.

Please help, i plan on going out memorial day, though this will determine where i go

All of the restricted zones are noted in the 2012-13 Saltwater handbooks that they give out at Wal-Mart, Big 5, tackle shops, etc...  You can also go on the F&G web site.

Most of Carmel Bay is inside the Carmel Bay SMCA, but you're allowed to take finfish by hook & line. The no-take area is the Carmel Pinnacles SMR, which is out there pretty far.
Here's a link to the Central Coast MPAs: http://www.dfg.ca.gov/mlpa/ccmpas_list.asp

Check out this map. The purple circle is Stillwater Cove.
