GS6 Group Camping Reminder...

Thanks jim for helping to keep things running smoothly and for feeling up / out Jack.--whichever works best. 

In my opinion, it would be very easy to remedy the situation at the camp ground by handing out some sort of parking sticker to affix to the vehicles, like they do at other camp grounds.  There will be people coming in and out of the campground all weekend, and I think that's what makes Jack concerned that he doesn't know who has paid and who has not.

What about a bracelet those sticky water proof ones, whoever in the campground groups can put them in their hand Captain Jim can you ask Jack or anyone to provide some?

Yeah...I don't have time today to go look for bracelets and am also hesitant to tell Jack how to do his thing...don't get me wrong, it makes sense to me though....

If anybody DOES have time and wants to pick up some bracelet thingys we could try it out up there.

I will ask Jack as well if he has any or wants to use them when I get there tomorrow.

Honestly...in my opinion...as long as we all are committed to paying and making it known that it is NOT cool to sneak in and stay without paying, that is good enough...

If Jack has problems, then he can talk to me and I'll try and figure out what is going on, but if we all are on the up and up, then there should be no problems right.

Instead of bracelets maybe each paid camper should just wear their underwear on the outside of their pants. That would make life easier for both Jack and Jim.

I completely understand, I'm pretty sure we are all committed, my thought if for jack to have way of knowing who are staying in the campground. So he won't assume everyone hanging out in the camp are camping...Ill bet he will appreciate looking for his best interest.

Jack could have a running tally in the office with names of those that have been paid in full. He can just put these down on paper in a list next to a number. Then he just writes that number on each person on the back of the left hand, and above the belly button with solid permanent marker.  Jim can then ask anyone to show one or both written numbers, and log their name and number on a sheet. These names and numbers can be compared after the event and brow bashing can come to those with unpaid camping.

Those just visiting the group camp, either camping in the RV sites or staying elsewere need to show Jim proof of paid stay with a valid reciept.

This is a really low cost approach. only need Sharpie markers and two log books. It will also automatically create a field study on how many crazy kayakers are willing to camp in close proximity to each other.  Jack can use this info to prrepare for future events.
