Rookie here as well, only tried halibut fishing on couple occasions and got skunked.  I'm definitely in for the hali hunt at Oyster point or ARW.  Will be looking for your guy's hookups.  Thanks.

I'm am planning on meeting martianfish at alameda rockwall tomorrow morning if you guys are interested.  Going for halibut and possibly striper.

I am really excited for the season, I had no luck last year.   I hope the short salmon season can take some pressure of the fishery.   When salmon was shut down the butts go hammered pretty hard.

I'm thinking about hitting the ARW for the first time on Sunday. Not expecting to catch any fish just want to get a feel for the area.
