Just wanted to send out an FYI that local fishing guide Bill Ferrero is doing a free seminar on Steelhead Fishing the Lower Mokelumne River Wednesday April 4th at 6:45PM at Georges Restaurant. Dinner is available at 5:30. The seminar is put on by Central Valley Anglers and you can get more info by calling Ron Byes at (209)367-1142.

For those who don't know Bill, he is a local fishing legend. He has fished and guided on the Mokelumne River for over 40 years. He does both Fly Fishing as well as spinning rods. He is an advocate for sustainable fishing here in our are, and he an all around nice guy. I think its really cool that he is open and willing to share his knowledge of the river with the local fishing community. Hope to see some of you there.

If anyone is interested in floating the river and doing some fishing please hit me up. I have been running into to currents classes out there for years, and I would like to expand that for people wanting to learn how to kayak fish on rivers.

Right on, I'm taking a group of guys down the Lower Mokelumne tomorrow to fish for Steel Head. Should be a blast. I'm working on putting some sort of overnight Fish and Camp together on the Delta. I'm thinking somewhere around Wimpys Marina.
