I have a Lowrance LMS-525c that i use in  a dive boat and aluminum boat .does any one use one of these in their Yak?,I'm thinking maybe i can buy the cables and transducer and use the unit in the Yak also.

Ya man, you can save some cash if you use the same FF head unit on multiple boats...that's what I do. Just buy a Lowrance base, power cord, and transducer to mount on your kayak. I've bought used Humminbird parts on eBay to do it on the cheap.

I have been looking, and wanted some reviews that were more than "this unit sucks (one star) to this is the greatest (5 stars).  Both are of little value in the grand scheme of things.  This does have some technical data, which may or may not be useful.
