I am really fortunate to have gotten in with some phenomenal artists, and some very good IT oriented artists at that. here is the official art tour website:

http://bonnydoonstudiotour.com/

I don't have a vid up, and it doesn't look like I will have time to get one together, but at least there's a nice pic of my salmon piece.

the dance stage is 12'x16' and is coming along nicely. Hope to finish it up tomorrow so that the dance groups can rehearse on it by the 9th.

the large 4'x6' redwood screen is coming along. I decided on a black and white Risso dolphin design, flanked by red squid. So far the only hindrance is that the screen is so dang heavy. Hopefully this nice weather will dry out the planks some and lighten it a little.

Here's a new one, "seabass moon". Black seabass, squid, and octopus, with the influencing moon.

I love your work, and belly dancers???  count me in!

Hey, how much for an AOTY 2011 winner plaque???  Doesn't have to be first place, just in the top ten...

Well, I just finished the 4x6 Risso Dolphin piece, it took me about 14 hours start to finish, with 2 coats of poly to get the colors to pop.

I've chosen a great white shark as the subject for the 4x8 piece, and am building the screen today after I'm finished at the office.

I pulled some old old stock from the coffee shop I used to sell through, so I'll have some crazy necklaces, cuffs, and other small things. I also got the "rastafish" shirts ordered, but unfortunately no long sleeved for this run.

Hey, how much for an AOTY 2011 winner plaque???

Ah, you'll have to ask Otobepelagic how much he spent on gas, bait, and tackle :smt044

Nice work, Sean. Just passed through your 'hood last weekend, more or less, on the way to the coast from Brookdale.
I'll make an effort to try & stop by for the studio tour. Always like to show support for local artists.

Thanks for the support Piski!
this my final bump, but I wanted to give one last sneak peek at one of the show's "flagship" pieces. The pic doesn't quite do it justice IMHO, especially since it is stuffed under my shed porch :smt005.

This is the Rissos Dolphin inspired by a late January trip out off MBK. Its 4x6 feet, 2" redwood planks.

Thanks for being the great community of NCKA everyone, have a good weekend and I will see ya'll on the other side of the show!

Overall the DoonArt studio tour went very well.I know I had a great time!
NCKA was represented by Jim and Naomi. I ended up selling some beaded jewelry, a handful of rastafish t-shirts, and one nice cbezon art piece. I also scored a gallery invite for September at the Davenport gallery.
Stoked am I!
Here are a few pics of Whitey, my "work in progress" on a 4x8 redwood screen

Beautiful. How much will "Whitey" be going for?

PM me if you don't want to post. I'm interested.
