what I didn't add was that Alan had to make it a trade, he wouldn't just take thr reels. Gave me a power handle and stuff to up grade drag, washers and grease and wouldn't take a penny

Nice to see you too! plus Martin, Adam and Ben.  Sorry if missed anybody.  I had 3 reels services; Penn 5500, Shimano Curado 300 and Curado 200.  Ran out of time on my Luna 300.  I was there from 9:30 AM  to 1pM.
I was pretty amazed what saltwater did inside my Curado 300 after one fishing season.  Special thanks to Alan Tani and the 2 other guys he brought along (met Brian) for doing this reel clinic.

Cheers,

Mel

We had Jim (forgot his last name) helping us out at our table.

Great guy.

Al, I'm with you on that.  When my reel was taken apart, I think there were more parts on the table than in my watch.  I had no idea, there were so many things to do to a reel but Alan and the crew made it happen with ease.  I'm gonna make sure I don't miss his next one because I'm sure one of my reels will need work by then.

+1. I've NEVER taken apart any of my reels. This was the perfect setting for popping my cherry, 'cause Jim bailed me out more than once.
