It looks as though we'll do some camping at RG this coming 3 day weekend. It will be our first camping trip with our 13 month old daughter, so the emphasis will not be on fishing or diving, but I certainly plan on doing a little of each.

This is my first time to RG, so if there are any tips to ensure I'm prepared, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Is the launch prep easy? Require wheelies? Close to the campground?

Best bets for some ab-diving/spearfishing and fishing?

From a couple of past reports and hookups, it seems going along the cove walls to the south may be productive, but if you have a few pointers (without giving up your honey-hole of course!), that would be great.

This is all assuming we don't get run out of the campground due to a crying toddler of course! Should be fun whatever happens just camping with my daughter for the first time!

great place to camp, the launch is an easy wheel from the campsites, and about 50yrds+/_ of sand and creek crossing to the cove, the restrooms can be a little far from some sites but a nice walk, there is a great trail up to some falls in the back, also i would recomend a trip to cabrillo point light house, nice views, as for fishing i usually head out the cove and head north, spend alot of time in 60ft of water and pull some nice reds, but there are some aggressive seals out there, so watch your back if you have fish in the boat, first pic is the cove the second crappy pic is a camp site, sorry its too dark, will look for other pics, hope this helped, cameron
