AOTY Question

Not sure of all the rules, so I have a question. If I was fishing a not open to the general public place, can I count the fish caught? Places like Lake of the Pines, Lake Wildwood, or other private lakes/ponds. Don't want to get in trouble when I end up at this type of place.

I think fish from private lakes have been entered in past AOTYs.

I think that the water has to fall under DFG rules to be cool for points. Some private ponds that are stocked by individuals really shouldnt count if there is no public access. Might as well go to a trout farm. Oh wait some of us have. DOH!

I remembered we had this discussion last year and none of the fish we caught at Kelsy Ranch private lake (HOW event) was entered on the AOTY.
