the balls are actually not in any chemical just a plastic bag.  I could mix up a chemical beer batter. or maybe a nice dry rub.  Dont dry rub and balls go together??

Some pics (I have some underwater ones too, but those are gonna take longer to get on my computer):

The big cab was 21", and I estimated it to be at least 5-6 pounds.

The smaller cab was 18" and fat as well.

I shot a few other various fish, including two greenlings at 16-17", and a few kelpies. Saw a lot of fish out there, too, with the 10 foot vis. Saw a good number of other quality fish that I didn't shoot at, too, including a good sized MFE, 4 foot leopard shark, and other various rockfish.

After filleting the cabs, I was eager to dissect the stomachs and see what they had been eating. The smaller one had the remnants of small crabs, while the large one had a few partially digested crabs, as well a small octopus.
