Hi, Id like to introduce myself on the forum. Im the first of several from the newly formed Lake Tahoe paddling Angler team that are sure to join this fine association. I've been fishing the lake Tahoe Basin for about a decade, and from kayak for about three years. I grew up in Deep Southern Louisiana fishing Redfish and Specks out of Venice. I look forward to having some new experiences, learning, and sharing knowledge here. As a new member I have just a couple questions...

1. Do the hawg rulers break alot?

2. We have a member on our team that is a PaddleBoard Angler, I'm aware the rules state "kayak", but is he someone that would be allowed here given the newness of the sport and that its paddled?

3.My Kayak Buddy and I plan to attend the Berryessa Slam, anything I need to know thats not discussed on the Salmon Slam thread that I need to know before I show up?

Thanks for your time, I hope to get out of the snow and see ya'll on the water soon!!

Welcome to NCKA Jude.  Below are my answers to your questions:

1)  I still using my hawg trough that I got from NCKA  4 years ago.

2) Everyone is welcome to post his/her fishing trip/report here doesn't matter if he/she fish from shore, pontoon, kayak, or SUP, etc...

4) Check out the post from Fishworks for the tips:

These hawg trough was given to the AOTY entries years ago.  It's limited supply on hand.

Warm non windy?????? That cuts into the fishing days when its cold and windy those  days are for trolling.
Just when its neg. 7 and 40 mile wind on tahoe then I don't go out.

1. Yes, they are quite flimsy. I've broke 2 in the last few years, and fully expect to break #3 in the near future.
2. You can post fishing reports, info, contribute no matter what type of platform you're fishing from. But this is a kayak fishing site, so it should probably have some sort of focus on yakfishing. As far as rules, do you mean the AOTY competition? Because SUP fish can't be entered into the competition.
3. Ricci and Gary have put a lot of helpful info out tehre for the Berryessa Salmon Slam. Here's the main post, probably best to direct any questions there: http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php/topic,28475.0.html

What's up with the Tahoe Paddling Angler team--is it sponsored by one of the shops up  there? Looking forward to some good stuff from the Tahoe basin! Thanks for joining!

Its a group of four guys right now, all killer dedicated fisherman from Tahoe. We fish hard & often, a couple of us are Guides and feel pretty good about sharing info with fellow paddlers. One of our guys last summer sold his outback & decided to get a SUP tricked for fishing, he's our homie we couldnt leave him hanging,So when I decided to create the team this week I named it  Tahoe Paddling Angler Team. It never really occured to me what tournament rules may be, but I doubt he cares anyway hes just looking to love life. Sups are huge up here, one morning fishing i saw about 300 crusing to Emerald Bay,so I thought it best to embrace it.
As far as sponsorship, it's just this week the team was created... You want to Sponsor Us?
