I currently have camping reservations at Seacliff for this weekend and was considering bringing my kayak to do some fishing.  :fishing2

Would love to have some company paddling in this area since I am new to this sport and have never paddled in this area before. :shark

This is your first launch, ever?  You may want to think about trying New Brighton, Capitola or Santa Cruz Harbor instead of a regular shore launch for your first outing.  SC Harbor is a great spot for a first launch.

Yeah, that's why I was kinda hoping for company; more like a "guide".

But if nothing pans out,

a.) Call Allen, see if he is available for a guide trip, or

b.) Wouldn't go out unless it is REALLY Flat and probably just splash around directly in front of that area, or

c.) just stick to beach fishing like in the past and enjoy the sunset with the wife...

The flattest beach launch there is close to the cliffs at New Brighton.  the further south/east you go, the rougher it gets.
