Would've preferred Gruden or Billick...but Jim Harbaugh will do, for now. If they don't make the playoffs in 2011 or 2012, then it'll just be another "bad move by the Yorks for hiring an unproven coach and matching him w/an inexperienced GM." But I DO like that Jed went out and paid what was necessary to get the guy they wanted!

I disagree PK, I'm thankful Gruden or Billick weren't hired.  I get that they've won a Super Bowl, but they just don't inspire me.

That said, I'm haven't completely jumped on the Harbaugh bandwagon either.  I don't dislike the guy, I think he is an amazing college coach but that doesn't necessarily translate to the NFL.

Dennis Erickson and Nick Saban also come to mind.  But to be fair, Jimmy Johnson came from University of Miami and I think we all know what he did with Dallas.

Wait 'til Carroll and this guy get it on---can you imagine one of them running up the score or going for a two point conversion with a big lead in the pros?    Yeah this will be interesting--- in the meantime I hope the Packers and Aaron Rogers go far into the playoffs.

Ryan Mallett, maybe Cam Newton. 7th overall might be a little high for Newton but if he goes off in the national championship game, who knows. A stud DE or a shut down corner would work to and get a QB via trade ie Vince Young (5th rounder at best) or through free agency. I cant wait for the draft!!!

No thanks, I'll pass on Newton.  While he is a heck of a college QB, I don't think his game will translate to the pros.

I'm not a huge Vince Young fan but I wouldn't mind seeing McNabb and a young guy to hold his clipboard and mentor.
