8/15 Fort Ross

Good group effort out there! You guys will have it dialed for the Red Barn Classic!

Yeah the weather Sunday was awesome for awhile, then the wind picked up around 11:00. Managed a few misc. rockies and 4 underling all 21-23". I was scoping out what appeared to be a sealion carcass floating in the kelp when I heard the commotion coming from Kiel's direction. Saw him and Tigerfish looking down in wonder. must have been one helluva fish to yank that rod out of your hand like that! Drift sucked after awhile and had to call it a day around noon. Nice to see such a turn-out.

It was a great day - 'till it got windy. A few small blacks for me, plus a decent cab that was foul-hooked and released itself as I was releasing him at the boat. I had one really nice bendo that spun the yak right around, and was gone in a flash  .

Gabe, I think I have a pic of Ryan - no fish showing but it might be a nice shot. I have to get it off the camera.

It was nice meeting everyone new, and seeing other pals too.

More likely a small fish and a big seal. BTDT
