Anybody have some good spots to hit for dungies between Pismo and San Simeon - looking to give it a go this winter but have no idea where to drop around here.

Thanks,

JK

Did you get any feedback from this post?  I'm looking into crabbing this area too.  Anyone?

It m/b worth a try. You'll probably get some rock crabs at least. But I wouldn't expect to get many dungies down there. Monterey is basically the southern limit of their range. Although, there were 12K lbs of dungies brought to port in Morro Bay by the commercial guys in 2008 (http://www.dfg.ca.gov/marine/landings08.asp). So it isn't impossible.

Yeah, I'm not sure if my memory serves me correctly, but about 10 years ago I was with a friend in Morro Bay and thew out some nets off the piers, and I thought I remember him catching a small dungee, or maybe he said he caught them out there before.  But definitely a bunch of rocks.  Would like to know that there out there though if anyone else can comment :)
