Watch out for the colors.  Some color pigments have toxic ingredients.  A large premise of gyotaku is that you can eat the fish safely after ;)

A good idea(that I follow) is to use either regular sumi ink or some black water-based student acrylic like Liquitex Basics.  Once you have your print, then color it in later with details/accents.  Rice paper isn't the only material you can use, but it sure looks nice - especially if you use unryuu with the embedded silk strands.

I have a extra roll or two of regular rice paper if anyone wants to try their hand at it.   :smt003
