Nice one Bill. Carp huh... I haven't caught one of those guys in a long while. I guess the forebay is going to be muddied up for a while with these storms passing through. Oh well... it's all good. At least you and your dad got out there and did it.

Its real nice you got your pops on the water Bill. I wish mine were still around. He would have loved it. Great job. This will be the year you fish with all of us. Right? Rain is good.

Bill, there must be some mistake somewhere.

I looked for several minutes on the chart, but I can't find out how many points per inch a carp is worth...were they left off the list???
(JK--the new list is interesting--I like it)

Great catch for sure.  I snagged a big carp once in the San Joaquin trolling for stripers...what a fight.  Xsquid and I always see huge ones in the delta in the spring and can't figure how to catch them.

I am starting a special AOTY carp category, 100 points per inch, no need to measure, estimates are fine!

carp are ridiculous fighters, especially in current.  i hooked a few fishing the river in des moines iowa a few years back, underneath a dam.  i always knew when it was a carp as they would run straight downstream to des moines and i would have to pop them off since i was ONLY using 12lb test =)

Yeah cause I paddle him around all day, by the time we get to the spot I need a nap! :-) I put in 3.5 hours of trolling the double that day, that was a lot of work.
